Paguera is synonymous with beaches, good weather, and a Mediterranean environment... It is one of the favourite destinations for beach and sun in Mallorca, and is especially popular with German travellers who visit the island.
But Paguera is also one of those corners of the island where Mallorcans choose to come and cool down when they manage to escape the city. Indeed, one of the main attractions of Paguera is the colour and clearness of its waters.

As well as the beauty of its waters, Paguera (also known as Peguera) boasts of very easy access. Located less than half an hour’s drive from Palma de Mallorca, you can get here easily by one of the three motorways that cross the island.
If you prefer to arrive by public transport, you can also do so easily since the municipality of Calviá - which Paguera belongs to - is one of the best-connected municipalities in the whole of Mallorca.
Paguera’s beaches deserve a special mention. If you like open beaches, with services and clear waters, you’ve got three to choose from: Playa Palmira, Playa Torá and Playa Romana.
If you prefer cosier little coves, with turquoise waters that are perfect for exploring the seabed, then you can choose between Cala Fornells, Es Caló de ses Llises or Es Caló des Monjo.

There are a thousand and one excursions you can do from Paguera. Below, we will reveal some of the most interesting ones.
Less than 5 minutes from the centre of Paguera is the departure point for a lovely excursion through the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. The route will take you up to an old defence tower, with spectacular views over the bay. This route is suitable for everyone, and includes a stop in an enchanting cove.
If you fancy going on a walk from Paguera, this excursion will definitely interest you. It is an easy trip that takes just over an hour each way, which will take you to Es Capdellà, a charming little inland village.
Do you fancy a trip in a kayak? Opposite Paguera are the Malgrats Islands, two small islets with a wealth of diverse marine life, which are sure to delight any fans of snorkelling.
In just over 10 minutes by car from Paguera, you can reach one of the most beautiful ports on the island: Puerto de Andratx. We recommend taking a stroll along its seafront promenade, and make sure you enjoy a wonderful dinner in one of the waterfront restaurants.
In the neighbouring town of Sant Elmo you can find the starting point for one of the most classic excursions on Mallorca: the ascent up to La Trapa Monastery. And if you are left wanting more, make the most of the way down to discover the small cove of Cala en Basset, one of the best-kept secrets of the area.
From Sant Elmo you can also take one of the boats that go to the island of La Dragonera, a Nature Park where the thing that will strike you most are the funny lizards belonging to the native subspecies, which you won’t find in any other part of the world.
If you are a sport lover, you’ll have plenty of options in Paguera. As well as being able to take part in water sports (paddle surf, kayak, scuba diving, snorkelling, etc...) in Paguera you will find excellent facilities for playing tennis, golf and cycling.
For the most daring among you, why not take part in the Challenge Paguera Mallorca, a triathlon that takes place between Paguera beach and the beautiful village of Capdellà.
